How much do you charge?

Wedding packages vary depending on where you are getting married and how many hours you are wanting to be covered. Please enquire to be sent the full pricing information.

Engagement sessions are $450 when purchased individually and $350 when added to any wedding collection.

When will we receive the photographs after the wedding?

I usually turn around the photographs in between 4-6 weeks, depending if it’s peak wedding season or not. This gives me time to ensure each photograph is a finished piece. I am able to give a specific time once I know your wedding date.

How will we receive our photographs?

The photographs will be saved onto a USB as high-resolution jpegs. They will arrive in a stylised USB box, which will be sent to you in the post. From here, a wide range of printing options and albums can be ordered.

How many photographs will I receive from my wedding day?

I generally deliver between 300-700 photographs. This depends on how many hours of coverage you request. I can give you a clearer estimate after hearing about your wedding day.

Who owns the copyright of the photographs?

Nectar Photography owns the copyright to the photographs and may use them for general promotion. If you would like to make a request for images not to be used for general promotion, please let me know.
You will have full permission to use them for Personal Use. This means you can print and post them on social media as much as you like.

Do you travel outside of Auckland?

I sure do. If you are getting married outside of Auckland, having an overseas wedding or wanting to do an engagement session outside of this area, I am more than happy to travel. An additional travel fee is added to the package when the location is outside of the Auckland area.

Can I order an album?

You sure can! I order the albums through Vision Arts, they put together beautiful fine art albums. Please get in touch to be sent information about the design process and pricing.

Can I see the images that didn’t make the final cut?

As entrusting me to photograph your wedding or engagement session, you also entrust me to select the best photos that truly reflect the feeling and story of the day or photo session.
Trust me, you probably wouldn’t want them, they are the ones with people's eyes closed, with someone walking in front of the camera and off focus.

Do you photograph anything else apart from weddings and engagement sessions?

Yes! I also love to photograph interactive and fun family portrait sessions. Please get in touch for more information.

How long have you been photographing weddings for?

I have been photographing weddings for six years now and loving it!

What happens if you're unable to photograph due to an illness or emergency?

Thankfully, I have never been unable to make a wedding.
However, if this was to happen I will do my best to find a replacement photographer of the same style as mine. I would complete the edit and photo delivery.
If I am unable to find someone, all the money paid at that stage will be refunded.

Do I receive the photos in colour or black and white?

I deliver a complete set of colour photographs. Photos from this set, that are enhanced by being black and white, are duplicated and given in addition.

Do you always have a second shooter? Why are they good to have?

Having a second shooter is a great addition to your day, but not essential. More moments are captured when there are two photographers present.

I’m not used to being photographed, how do I pose?

Leave that up to me and come as you are. All I ask you to do is just relax and enjoy the experience!

Do you backup your files?

Yes! However, once I have delivered your files it is your responsibility to back them up. Ideally, its good to have three backups, two at home, then one on a cloud or at another location. Hard-drives lifespans typically last around 3-4years so make sure you're staying up to date with these.

If the event runs late, will you stay longer?

Yes! If the event goes overtime my hourly rate is $160/hr, which includes post-production of images taken in that hour. I will only stay late if you communicate that you are happy with the additional coverage fee.

Do we need to provide you with a meal at the reception?

Ideally, if you are able to provide a hot meal that would be great. This keeps me fresh and full of energy for the night ahead. Preferably while everyone else is eating, as this is the time people usually are not wanting to be photographed. Once the guests are finished eating I want to be ready to start photographing again. I do not expect to sit with the guests.

What if I need to cancel or postpone my wedding for some unforeseen reason?

If canceled all money paid up to date of receiving cancellation notice is non-refundable. However, if I am available the day you are wanting to postpone to, I will retain the payments and apply them to the new date.
